Hi, I’m Brian Prows. Welcome to ProCareerSearch, a blog for job hunters who want career advice, job search tools and help finding a career or making a career move.

Since writing “16 Tips for a Professional Job Search” on MarketingBeyond in 2009,  I’ve wanted to blog about about the new age of “multi-careers” and the future of work. This is it.

During my years in marketing and sales here in the San Francisco Bay Area, I developed a solution selling model called the “PBFA”–pain, benefit, feature and advantage.

It’s actually much more than a selling or marketing tool. It’s a way to discover “latent” pains or needs of anyone, any company, any industry, then apply benefits, features and advantages that help resolve pains or needs. It’s quite handy in all walks of life, especially in career search.

I’ll introduce and explain the PBFA, along with an expansion of the “16 tip” strategy in this blog.
