The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2010-2011 contains extensive information and forecasts for all occupations, many you’ve probably never considered. Use its easy search function to find further info from zoo keepers to nuclear scientists.

SimplyHired. SimplyHired is a site that “aggregates” job listings from other job and employer websites. You can easily search by geography, job title, keywords, companies, experience level and more. You can even connect your “LinkedIn” contacts to job searches on the site. When interesting jobs pop up, SimplyHired lets you know which LinkedIn contacts know the hiring managers. Voila! Very nice. Use SimplyHired to discover employers that are hiring. Then apply online for jobs and use other your network to connect with companies and hiring managers.
